I had a blinking light of death on this set. It would try to power on then abort with a blinking light. No sound or picture.
Prelim checks showed 24V & 12V good from PSU, standby 3.3V & 5V good too. Indeed jumpering BLON on inverter gave backlight. I tested the 24V audio supply (separate from the main 24V), and found that to only be 0.5V.
Looking under the power board I found the zero-ohm link in series with the 24V audio was O/C, quite visibly blown... which I found odd. I checked the main board and found no shorts, so decided to install a new jumper. The set powered on and works fine now. Audio is fine, and the audio supply at 24.5V is present and stable.
I am confused as to why the jumper failed... has anyone else found this to happen?
