My edge lit TV LED had a strand burn out, I dismantled the entire tv and removed the offending LED Bar, but how would I replace it?
Where would I buy replacement LED Strips?

Re: Where would I buy replacement LED Strips?
The parts I am looking for come from a Sony KDL-40NX711
I need 1 strand of LEDs. Shopjimmy and ebay were not useful in my search.
3 codes are printed on the bar of 63 LEDs
SLS40_5630_120_1D_B_Rev1
KM-8 94V-0 1028
On the back a barcode with
K928 H
100012
40U168
The Bracket the LEDs is attached to is labeled

Re: Where would I buy replacement LED Strips?
is this it?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LJ64-02267A-...item338f98da0f
or this one?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sony-LED-Str...56076834&rt=nc
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Philips-40PF...52491279&rt=nc
hopefully this helps
I have learned from many on here that different brand tv models use the same parts from the same manufacturer
but not always can be interchanged
So be careful and ask if the parts are compatible and returnableLast edited by jose6326; 06-27-2014, 06:31 AM.Comment

Re: Where would I buy replacement LED Strips?
Thanks so much guys. Unfortunately I don't think any of your ideas will work, as the LED is 63 Bulbs long and is connected via flat ribbon. The options you shared are 56 bulbs and are "wire" connected.

by mc900fthannaSo... I have the patchy back light issue with my Visio M70, meaning some light up, others do not. I finally got around to testing the LED driver board and found that was not the issue (swapped another one in and the same issue persisted) and I am considering if i dare dive deeper into this TV and go after the LED strips.
Right away i see that they don't seem to stock them anywhere out there (E700DLB0016-002) is a part number that i see a you tube / seller guy list out. He has a nice video of how to get into my exact TV out there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AcUPiN83Tg

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by KingfreddieOk.. this is the story:
Have an old Samsung LED 3D TV (UE55F6475). First it started to lose light on the lower 40% of the screen now and then. Like for 10-60 mins and then it would work again. Then a bit later it just got stuck in that position. The lower 40% of the screen is dark, and it gets progressively darker the lower u go so it's obviously that LED strips where not working. I also looked for similar errors online and saw an exact copy and on that one it was faulty LED strips.
This is kinda how it looked, just that mine were at the bottom of the screen:

by packrat79A few weeks ago I picked up an LG 55LN5700, the backlight would stay on just long enough to display the LG logo and then shut off. It seemed like a pretty obvious backlight failure, and I've serviced a number of similar LG sets with good results, so I went ahead and ordered a new set of backlight strips (from China of course, and had to wait almost a month). I installed them all and ran the set for several hours, and all seemed good. I sold the set to a customer and a few days later he told me the picture was randomly shutting off. So he brought it back and it started doing the same thing for...
