Wife dragged me to the dump tonight, and I spied this little bugger in the electronics bin and snagged it. As it was a funai I thought it would have the common blown components in the power supply. When plugged in there was no standby light, upon opening it I was shocked to find the mosfet, fuse and 2.2 ohm resistor intact. A quick check with the multi meter zeroed me in on a shorted 20B zener in the secondary (D668). After replacing it the set now works as well as a funai set ever will.

by JDCIssue: Funai FW55D25F - High Pitched Squeal Upon Power-on.
Solution: Replace C3208 and C3209 on main board. These are surface mounted capacitors. Values unknown so I just used same physical size capacitors from a donor board. -
by james28909i have a emerson/funai tv here that has no standby, does not make the infamous chirp sound or anything. its dead. upon removing the back panel, ive come to find out that it has no power at all on any of the output pins going to the main board. i can see power when probing around on the power supply, but no power at all on any output pins, not even standby voltages. any help sure would be appreciated

by willy3486I have a TV that is labeled Emerson on the front but Funai on the model label. It says it is alc320emxf. The issue it is having is that it has now lights or power when turning on. I checked the switch and I get contact when pressed. I checked out what I think is the main power board and on the 2 wire plug it has around 160 volts constant. That plug connects to what I think is the inverter board. I also checked the main diodes and fuse, they checked fine with a ohmmeter from what I can tell. I did find two sb390 Schottky barrier diodes at d641 and d642 that ohm out to .1 ohm. I don't remember the...

by EazyBoneGot this ONN 100044717 75 inch TV which shows a black screen when turned on. In a dim room or if you take a flashlight too it you will still see a picture. TV has sound also.
The defect is the power board capacitor near the backlight connection. It is the same defect. Look for a bulged cap. Read this thread for more info as it's same defect.

by AndreasbestHello.
I just solved a mystery with the right USB or HDMI/Displayport or Ethernet or 3.5" jack of Fujitsu Lifebook E558 going suddenly dead.
I realized i had 6 pieces of the same model with the exact same issue, nothing on google, neither schematics so i had to dig in my self and provide feedback here in case someone else has the same issue.
I found out that the USB daughterboard is connected to the mainboard with 2 wide and non bending flex tapes that are 2mm longer than they should and this results in a constant pressure on flex connector and therefore eventually it cracks... - Loading...
