Samsung un46c6300sf TV vertical discolored line

I bought this TV used a few weeks ago and this vertical discolored line about 8 inches wide running the entire length from top to bottom on the screen. Sometimes it goes away but most of the time it is there. It distorts the picture of the 8 inch section and turns it a lighter color. I ripped the back of the TV off and checked connections and looked at the capacitors and they seem not to be bulging as some posts I read have suggested. Could it be something on the t con board? Or is it something on the power supply board? Or even the main board? I am kind of dead set on doing this myself, so going to a repairman is a worst case scenario. I saw refurbished boards on eBay for pretty dang cheap, but I want to make sure I'm buying the correct part before I commit. Thanks!

Does it change if you flex the panel?

Just tried that and it does nothing when I flex the panel. I uploaded another picture.

Hmm, that is a strange one, never seen this kind of problem before.

The Mitsubishi LCD I had (used samsung parts) had a line just like that it was a bad IC in the tab bonded ribbon cable for the screen.

Only way to get at it is to completely tear it down to the screen and take off the metal shield and check the ribbon cable in that area with light pressure and see if to changes.
