Just tried that and it does nothing when I flex the panel. I uploaded another picture....

I bought this TV used a few weeks ago and this vertical discolored line about 8 inches wide running the entire length from top to bottom on the screen. Sometimes it goes away but most of the time it is there. It distorts the picture of the 8 inch section and turns it a lighter color. I ripped the back of the TV off and checked connections and looked at the capacitors and they seem not to be bulging as some posts I read have suggested. Could it be something on the t con board? Or is it something on the power supply board? Or even the main board? I am kind of dead set on doing this myself, so going...
