Philips 42PFL5603D/12, no image but LED

When I turn it on, first LED (white) ligths for like a minute even though I have no image. I got +12 V, -12 V and +3,3 V (seems like stand-by) all-right. Than the red LED starts blinking and voltages disappear.

Capacitors measure OK. I tried looking for some image with a lamp but found nothing. Maybe I just missed it and there is something but backlight is definitelly not working.

It occurs to me the CCFL power is actually derived from high on primary side, not the usual way high-low-high.

Count red blinks between each pause, if any. It is usually an error code for Philips TVs.
Check BLON signal between main board and power board. No BLON (0V), no backlight.

I noticed the white LED blinked/turned on 3 times, possibly the TV was restarting itself 3times? Than the red one started blinking, 5times slowly and 3times fast, this sequency was repeating.

Which one is BLON? There is no marking on the power board…

What is the TV's chassis code? e.g. LC4.2E-PA?

Re: Philips 42PFL5603D/12, no image but LED

I found the manual, it blinks error 53 which says

Error 53. This error will indicate that the PNX85xx has read his bootscript (if this would have failed, error 5 would blink) but initialization was never completed because of hardware problems (NAND flash, ...) or software initialization problems. Possible cause could be that there is no valid software loaded (try to upgrade to the latest main software version). Note that it can take up to 2 minutes before the TV starts blinking error 53.

Philips 58PUS8536/12 Backlight ok, no image
                  by malekservis
                  Hello,
the TV turns on fine, seems to be working, but shows no image outside of a thick white vertical line as it turns on that also disappears almost instantly, and then it's just backlight. I've tried unplugging either side, but still can't get an image. I suspect it's a panel issue, but thought i'd ask some smarter people to confirm. I haven't found any weird readings, but then again i'm just randomly poking around with a multimeter.

                  Any information would be appreciated....

Hi, my TV image started showing those lines and the image faded away, but sound is still coming from it, what could be the cause and is it fixable? I thought it could be the tcon board but I red on the internet that it could be a failing panel

Hi to all! first post here, awesome forum. Greetings from Spain. I'm a electronic technician but I forgot many things because I was working in IT all my life :-)

I got a TV Philips 42PFL5603D/12 (chassis SQ522.2E LA) without remote control and no history to follow.
TV has random failures. Sometimes, stucks in a rebooting loop showing white led and video and audio signals, then fixed red light (stand by?) for some seconds, then red light goes off and white light come again with video and audio showing just fine. This rebooting stages, has random working times.

Tv Philips 55PUS6031 no image, backlight ok
                  by Raulnn
good night! I have this TV, with quite poor build quality. It has a tcon integrated into the panel, a single flex from the tcon to the panel, and the 2 panel controller boards joined by glued flexes. There is no way to separate them.

The symptom is that the image is not visible, but the backlight works. How to know if the problem is in the main or in the tcon-panel? I can't override zones.
