Hi guys anyone have a link for the latest software update for sharp lc-49cug8052k i have tried updating it in the tv menu says upto date but its from 2018 issue apps etc freeze and apps slow to respond freeview and same apps played through firestick/hdmi playback all work ok

Edit have now done a factory reset tv still doing the same thing on apps the app freezes then after a while tv reboots and goes back too normal freeview tv channel. so guess it is a mainboard fault as davi.p suggested.

I strongly doubt is a software issue, bad BGA balls on RAM chips is most probably, for me..

The tv works fine when watching freeview tv so i will probably advise them to just use a firestick or streaming box via hdmi for the apps

ok, freeview needs almost no ram, all decoding is hardware based, same for HDMI playback..
