I need help with my Vizio VP322

I have replaced and or swapped out the main board the control board and brand new YSUS. Have also done the capacitor repair to all 9 capacitors and the 2 resistors.

Problem still exist plug in get stand by orange Visio, press power Orange Vizio goes white, no picture no sound.

Ran some voltages all within range except the 12 volt is reading 9.2 volts(red Line). Please advise new power supply or?

C'mon, don't despare. Sure if someone knew something they'd post.

9.2v on the 12v rails sounds like a clue. I guess that feeds the mainboard so sounds like something is dragging it down.

Maybe if the main board can be isolated and the PSU jumpered to see if the 12v is normal and if so maybe look there.

I'll see if i can work out enough to help but no promises.

On a positive note apart from the PSU all other parts are so cheap it's rediculous and plentiful but one thing I notice is NO audio boards at Shopjimmy. that suggests maybe they're something that fail a lot?

I tried downloading a Service manual for you from two different sites but it would not save due to problem 14 reading the document but it can be veiwes. Elektrotanya.com and togohome .com Can the PS be jumpered on to stay on? There should be a Stby voltage of 5vdc. There should be a cable/connector to and from the main board to the PS.
Check for 5vdc stby using chasis ground for black meter lead. If thats good then check if there is a PS_On command from the main board. Some sets use active high (2.4vdc and up) or active low (0 to 2.3 or so) there should be a high or low with the set plugged in then when set is turned on the PS_on should change states.
If its low then high when turned on then jumper (500 to 1K ohm resistor) the PS from stby 5vdc to the PS_on with the main board disconnected and the PS should turn on.
If its high then low when turned on then jumpper the PS from GND to the PS_on with a
500 ohm resistor with the main board cable disconnected and the PS should turn on.
Are there any shorts on Y or X boards? measure the resistance from Ysus dcv pin to chasis gnd, Shoulld be several thousand ohms or more. Do same to X board. there should be no shorts there either. This should get you started.

Also, there's an AUTO-GEN on the control board, R241,R211 there's 2 pads . short them and then disconnect the LVDS from the main and the power connector. then we just need to jumper that to get PSU up including panel-on and hopefully screen will display test patterns. maybe LTANK knows but manual is useless that I downloaded.

may have to see if this psu is in a LG model and getthe info there.

Found this where a guy had re-capped to find C801 was an issue but no clue on what his 12v line was.

I just read this from a 2009 model but has the same 22pin connector from the psu to mainbaord and pinouts.

It says with P813 disconnected , auto-gen pins shorted ,tv will just turn on and display.

remove the LVDS cable , P813 and try above and see what happens.

Thank you all for replying, I apologize if I was abrasive but I didn't understand why I was getting no feedback for the second time on same problem. After the no replies the first round I just started swapping out boards with fully tested ones and even purchased new YSUS board and the problem just hangs around. To give back history this TV would turn on play fine for 20-30 minutes then the screen would go blank (no picture no sound), turn it off wait 5 mins turn back on nothing black screen, but the VIZIO light on the front would always turn to white when powered on. I started with a cap repair and the 2 5W 22ROJ resistor replacement, same thing, so I swapped out the main board, no change, swapped out control board in the center no change, put in new YSUS board from ShopJimmy no change. Currently it is an odd one because sometimes I can plug it in and turn it on and it comes on fine until I turn it off, the other times it powers on black screen. The power on black screen is the most one that occurs. The control board shows a steady green light on 0104 and flashes one second intervals on FL206.
Now for the best part I am not an electronics guru by no means and I don't think I would even qualify for a novice, but I can't stand to have things broke and I hate throwing money away I don't have for items that are built to fail. I don't know which is the standby pin to measure on the PSU so please point that out for me. I also don't have the resistors laying around you mentioned. Again not yet a novice but determined as a guru. Attaching picture of connector so you can help me determine which pin is for what. Also what is LVDS mentioned later? Sorry long post.

So basically you changed every board but the SMPS? I just did one of these about 2 or so weeks ago but it definitely wasn't what you're experiencing. Believe it had no standby at all, so I got Cap kit and replaced em all and it worked.

Sorry for the long break but bills and life got in the way, finally was able to purchase new PS and still same problem. Front panel goes yellow when plugged in(standby) have my 5 volts, hit power front emblem turns white, relay clicks no sound no picture. Checked voltages again with power on all reading what they should, except I don't know what the Auto should read my reads 0.00. Anyone have any ideas? Also if I have no video source plugged in I should get the little blue box right, or should I always need a source?

OK powered it up with a source no difference however I did noticed S1 on SUS board got hot to the touch and S3 was warm S2 was cold to the touch.

This time as I powered it up I noticed that the logo is bright white then fades. Is this a clue somewhere? New PS new SUS board working main from a pull. I am baffled anyone?
