This one will be fun! LG 47" vert lines

Alrighty so i have a 47" lg lcd tv symptoms are its displaying vertical lines with mild display of the "channel" box in the right hand top corner, the screen isnt cracked or damaged in any way all the connectors are tight and re-seated capacitors all appear to be okay (i dont have an esr meter Yet) i have done alot of research but couldnt find anything into it without it being that the panel is faulty being the main thing here which dont belive ot be true as it displays picture fine when its not alot of white in the background , now i have done some tests and tried unplugging each side of the screen from the t-con board and have attempted to rule things out and the only thing i could come to was that the screen works ok if i have it in composite or other av input so long as there is nothing plugged into the back which is leading me to it being a fault in the processing board now i have some videos of it in action on youtube ill post a link to so that you guys can see exactly whats going on, I realy hope i can fix this tv and i realy hope you gus have some thoughtfull ideas for me!

It's either a TCON or main failure. Also check the LVDS cable. If the picture is fine on off the air or component, It's the main board.

Most likely main board fault. Pictures of the boards in your set would help.

If you get a good picture on off the air or component, it's probably the main board.

yeah that's what I was thinking I do have a rework station so I could possibly change a component or so, would freezing any components be worth a shot?

so I have an esr meter and as we all know if any of the capacitors are in the same row then I'm only going to see the equivalent for the healthiest cap
would a cap on the main board cause this fault?

                Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

                Samsung QN50Q60t lines on screen
                by jeyoung12
                Hi all
I have lines on the screen...which is an age old problem that can be remedied by watching Youtube videos and getting out the tape.
My issue (after successfully fixing a different sammy tv with a separate tcon board and isolating the side of the panel...):

This tv has an integrated tcon...so it is a bit more confusing when trying to isolate the clocks.
It has a c ribbon and i have taken each end out to see if that will isolate the lines. instead, it makes it much worse ALL over the tv!

So....i don't know what end of the C ribbon to work with...

                Samsung QE50Q67TAU - horizontal lines
                by Rubenlily
                Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...

Sony XBR-65X750D Horizontal lines bottom of screen
                by ggil44
Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

                Samsung UN46C8000XFXZA Horizontal lines
                by x_orange90_x
I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...
