Re: This one will be fun! LG 47" vert lines
so I have an esr meter and as we all know if any of the capacitors are in the same row then I'm only going to see the equivalent for the healthiest cap
would a cap on the main board cause this fault?...

This one will be fun! LG 47" vert lines
Alrighty so i have a 47" lg lcd tv symptoms are its displaying vertical lines with mild display of the "channel" box in the right hand top corner, the screen isnt cracked or damaged in any way all the connectors are tight and re-seated capacitors all appear to be okay (i dont have an esr meter Yet) i have done alot of research but couldnt find anything into it without it being that the panel is faulty being the main thing here which dont belive ot be true as it displays picture fine when its not alot of white in the background , now i have done some tests and tried unplugging each...

Re: Vizio 47"
That could be the t-con board dont buy it unless you can get the model number, youll need the model number to find what available boards you can buy, it also could be a dirty connection to the t-con or main board (not sure what is in the vizio but im guessing its cheap) my guess is t-con issues

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G25 10 blinking light failure.
ive got a panasonic viera i picked up for cheap & repaird even cheaper, had the 10 light blinking blah blah , its the 15v rail fault i belive (dont quote me) theres a little chip on the board for the 15v rail i cant remember off hand but you remove a 1uf smd cap and then the tv should fire up again http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x400/Skurvy-Pirate/Stuff/IMG_3251-2.jpg thats a picture of what you may be looking for if you own a plasma, get some freeze spray ( i used butane) crazy i know but i blew away the flamable...Last edited by Noobomatic; 03-19-2014, 07:27 AM.

Sherwood AD-2220 CP smokey resistors
Well i have a sherwood ad-2220 cp amplifier with completely fried resistors (to the point where thers n way in hell your gonna tell the resistance) i have posted it on other forums but havenbt even had a reply :\ i cant be the onlyone with this amp in the universe. annywho, first off is the amplification stage
i need the codes for the following
R401R__
R401L__ both are 1watt resistors i belive
(protect board)
R329R --- appear to both be 1/2 watt resisters or 1/4

Re: Soniq lcd tv issues -.- (backlight)
so the tv is still doing the issue, i tried adding caps - changing the 6 kv caps with little to no difference but i did notice that when the right hand side of the board is earthed or grounded / whatever thats when the screen flicks on and off and if its not touching the meta then the screen stays on with no video displayed though its got me a little bewildered its rather confusing!

Re: Sharp Aquos LC52SE94U hit by surge
i recently had a surge affected set i didnt have a replacement for the surge absorber (znr) maybe check that for a short or osmething i would be following up the psu from the 240v connections and having a play with the multimeter if you have one and you should never put a higher rating fuse while testing, you could do more damage than good.
either way i would check bridge rectifiers, they normaly have ~+~- printed on them check them for shorts ..etc the parts would mostlikely need to come out of the board if there is a short...

Re: Soniq lcd tv issues -.- (backlight)
when the tv is starting up do9ing the whole flicky game it doesnt realy make any audible noises that would say "hey im broken" unfortunatly.
i could re-solder all the high voltage shi* on the board and the connections to, i may even throw a 10pf cap on both ends of the tube links and see what good that does me im a little bit nervous about playing with teh ccfl's either in or out of the tv as i know they are realy fragile & there is no smells comming from the screen or the psu. i checked for sparks lastnight and...

Re: Soniq lcd tv issues -.- (backlight)
& ive also just seen on ebay that the upgraded mip329fl psu has doubble 6kv caps(on each pole as opposed to single on each pole) im just wondering if that could be the go (fix)Last edited by Noobomatic; 02-25-2014, 05:30 AM.

Re: Soniq lcd tv issues -.- (backlight)
well it seems as i let it cool down not that it got very warm i played a few games on it etc... its now showing signs of repeating the issue (backlight flickering) and being rather shifty ..i had a look at some of the solder joints and it seemed pretty clean maybe the inverter transformer is faulty? idk tbh
