    Vizio 47"

Hey all I am wondering if I should buy this or not and what the diagnosis is for this thing they didnt give much info on it other than they wanted 50 bucks for it. Heres the pic. Its an LCD but no model number was given. They did say that it was sporadic for whatever thats worth

That could be the t-con board dont buy it unless you can get the model number, youll need the model number to find what available boards you can buy, it also could be a dirty connection to the t-con or main board (not sure what is in the vizio but im guessing its cheap) my guess is t-con issues

      Looks like bad inverter.
      Doesn't look like tcon issue.
To confirm inverter diagnosis you can check if dark side has any faint glow. If the glow drops off on that side it's probably an inverter fault.

Agreed 100%. I just fixed one of these less than a month ago. It looks like a VW47L from the front if I had to guess. The 680uf 35V capacitors on the inverter boards fail. The one I had I was able to just change 2 caps on each inverter board and it was good as new.
