sorry to sound like a noob vincegregor69 but how do i know what the rating is ? would i just be best off buying a new one as there only £8 from ebay ?

I believe the fuse should have its rating marked on it somewhere.

Tom66 i removed a fuse from a T-Con board T370XW02 V5 and soldered it onto the board and it switched picture on absolutely no problem ? should i leave that one on or replace with correct one ?

You should replace it with a new, correct type for continued safe operation.
