Towards the bottom they have options, one says get more help-amazon support, boy howdy there's nothing like trying to go thru 2 entities to get one piece of firmware or do you need more? I noticed it's there but not clickable on that screen, lol=nightmarehttps://support.tcl.com/troubleshoot...arch=156097362

So what's up with this being a new tv but no firmware easily available from the tcl website. Are they the sort of weirdos that want you to contact them personally to get the firmware or sum such?

Yeah... firmware... sure! If I could find it, I would have flashed the shit out of the TV already.

one i described about the Kernel...
second they are load.. so if all above post didn't work for you.. to bring recovery on..
try remove the rest of the back cover to have access to panel buffer boards... and from there we reduce the load by disconnecting the U ribbon cable at each half a time or both side together...
if this didn't bring little part of screen on... then stop and try to find firmware to write it again...

The exact thing than last time and still nothing on the screen.
I did plug the TV into my network and my switch started blinking. I did an IP scan and the main board does pull an IP address.
I don't think I can change the HDMI, since I can't see anything, unless it is switching automatically to the HDMI port in use.

So... this thing is listening on the USB, but I have to see something on the screen yet.

you may try all USB ports one by one for several time as we dont know which on the Amlogic boot related to USB ports
Took a 4GB USB flash drive and resized it to 1.6GB, formatted it with FAT32 and copied this .aml file to root.
Reassembled the main board and put a new heat pad on it.
Plugged in the USB drive (only one USB on this thing), Pressed the power button and plugged the TV in and kept pressing for 7 seconds. Nothing happened.

here we are with tools
