Well after re-reading all the posts including Toms "troubleshooting some common plasma TV problems" so I thought would start a new thread concerning the PSU clicking during start up. I am not adding pictures for the moment, these are the same https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...LG+50+clicking
The TV has been running great with a good picture for more than 2 years although due to work in another location the TV remained switched off for more than a year.
Since being back home for around 6 months now and watching the TV daily it started this clicking noise and remaining in Standby mode, it was becoming frustrating so I ordered a repair kit *LG Repair KIT [Power Board] EAY60968801* that I'm still waiting on.
Since I was expecting the parts a bit earlier I decided to remove the PSU and check the components that are on the way, I also removed the 3 ceramic 10 Ω resistors tested okay off the board 2.2 ohms set at 200 Ω.
So far the only shorted component found is the Diode D-304 next to IC-301 voltage regulator P/N. 3BR1565JF
I am considering replacing only the diode at this stage or until the Repair Kit arrives, would this impact other components?
Comments appreciated.
