    The voltage has to increase OR decrease, in other words, differential voltage from point to point, the sign of the number needs to stay the same. Also, the symmetry test mirrors the voltages around VCOM (AVDD/2 or mid point average of gamma voltages) and sees if they match up. The symmetry test is an additional test, both should be done. It's a lot harder to do in your head. If either of these fail, the result is a guaranteed fail.

    Note -- the Detailed Results tab is more of an internal debug tab -- you should look at Summary for overall conclusion.

        Flickering/double images and horizontal lines are panel problems but may be repaired with a workaround using the tape cutoff method.

            Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

            When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

            I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped...

            Hi There,

            This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

            After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

            Good day, I have a TCL TV: Model 43s423. After turning ON the TV, the ROKU TV logo appears with fine lines over the whole screen, then after a while there are vertical bands in the middle of the screen top to bottom and the TV tries to update its firmware but I do not have the remote to connect it to my new network connection.             My Oled Tv is 55inch tv, 3 days ago I notice that middle of the screen is getting warmer and on picture I have ghosting, missing red color. Color red was still displaying, but it was not so strong as corners of the screen and watching some movies makes me angry.
            Then I get an idea to take it apart and clean boards from dust.
            In side of Tv was not so bad, I take compressed air in can, and gently blow up.

            Also I was thinking to styrofoam sponge to isolate power board from screen that the middle of the screen will not worm so much. Because Led on screen when gets higher...

            Hi,
            i have a 65 Panasonic TX-65HX710E using vestel 17MB170 main and Lg tcon.

            Few drops of water fell probably near COF and have no display. Tried removing tabs but no.part of display present as if tcon fuse open. However 12v is present and tcon can be felt warm enough that supplies are present. Backlight and sound ok.

            Anyone knows if this TCon 6870c-0805A has any special test pins for rgb test?

            Appreciate your help....
