Problem after Replacing Screen on Samsung 32" LCD LE32A455C1D

hi there guys have a Samsung LE32A455C1D given to me by a neighbor because it had a smashed screen, because it was a white TV and looked rather nice (girlfriend wanted to keep it) i decided to see if i could get a LCD screen for it. the picture indicates the label of the original LCD panel, here is the link to the one i purchased : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2812547981...84.m1497.l2649

after i recieved screen and installed the tv switched on as normal and so did backlight but no picture. could someone shed some light on this or have i purchased wrong screen ?

Did you use old t-con or one with panel?

The panels are different revision, which might cause this problem - you would need to make sure you use the right t-con in the right panel.

It could also be a bad LCD panel. Did seller indicate how panel was tested and verified working?

no i will ask him and get back to you, Tom66 do you know what T-Con board would be used and would this work on the original Main/AV board ?

It would work with original AV board but I wouldn't have a clue what t-con it uses... only the seller would know as I guess from that photo it was supplied minus t-con.

Hi Tom66 i mailed the seller and this was the response "Hi all panels are removed from working tv.100% working part.Original t-con board for this panel is 320AA05C2LV0.0." how will i find out if that T-Con board is compatible with my AV/Main board

Check P/N. Who pulls working panel from working TV? Surely TV assembled is worth more. Questionable.

Check P/N. Who pulls working panel from working TV? Surely TV assembled is worth more. Questionable.

Here in the States, a working 32" Samsung is worth between $100 to $150. If you get $75 for the panel, $75 for the main, $50 for the PSU, $20 for the T-Con, $10 for the remote, and another $20 for the base, you've done pretty well ($250) with a 32" TV.

Though I would still wonder who would pull apart a working TV.

i have ordered a T-con board for this display, will wait to see what happens...

ok Tom66 ordered T-con board for that LCD panel and when i put the ribbon in it just get coloured lines running back and forward on the screen, what could be the problem.. i tried putting LVDS cable in other way on main board but just got black screen.

Do those lines change at all--say with scene/channel change or bringing up the menu etc?

Good chance you've got a bad panel there. Same model I did in black with similar fault...

I reckon you've been sold a dud panel mate... This is why I really don't bother with panel replacements as you just don't know if panel is ok

Ive Loads of different panels at work--but seldom try changing a broken one anymore either--Just too much hassle, and it usually ends up wasting loads of time and effort!

For the most part--I dont even save them anymore either--Unless I can see it with a picture,--then again the set gets done if its That good, and not scrapped!

no they dont move or change colour etc when i press menu or input / change channel etc
