Customer brought in this dead Sony. I narrowed it down to a bad main. After replacing it, the front LED power light was flashing red and Green. When it stayed red, I turned it on and have no BL's but do have the music loop that will go up and down with remote but no BL's or osd.The power light is white but no picture. Why no BL's? And when I powered it off, there is no power light on the front.

Do you have picture but no BL? Did you take flashlight to screen when you hear the sound and turn it on? -
Does TCON have a direct connection with a backlight driver? If yes remember that MB must be paired to TCON..Comment

I tried the flashlight test but did not see any video. How can the main be paired to the TCON if you can't see the screen?Comment

Did you do an update with usb after changing main board?
it’s required most of the time to pair the tcon and main board.Comment

you can try this..
Download upgrade, rename it in same folder as "upgrade_loader.pkg", put it in pendrive and then in tv, plugging the power in when keep pressing ON button on the tv
brings to a state with blue led steady in standby position, releasing the button and pressing it again brings to a pulsating white led, wait pendrive led to stop after few
pulses, removed power, reinsert it, white led does 3 - pause - 7 pulses, then turn it on with normal key, tv turns on with backlight an maybe an image..Comment

since its android... try hard reset you release the pressing only after the front LED change from white to greenComment

Hi,
I’ve got a Sony KD-65XE8596 here that has no standby light coming on. I’ve tested the power board with the test meter, the TV needs 3.4 for the standby but only getting 2.4. Anything that I can change/check on the board to get it working? Pictures of the board are included.

strange one
I have a dead Sony 55X850D
when plug in, black screen, no front white or red LED, no back light no screen
Voltages I get
3.3v LD/power and main board
reg 12V
reg 19V
3.3v on power on pin
no Tcon on
no tcon 12v
no BL_on
I do get BL_ERR 2.0v
I tried to bypass it by ground it but still get same symptom
I did also found a possible shorted cap on main board as it is showing 10 ohms when measure with meter
or is possible the chip next to... -
Hello...
my tv almost 2 years not powerd on and when i turned it on nothing happened and only 3 red light keeps blinking
i opened the back cover no sign of damage on the powery suply or motherboard
when i plug in the power i hear the reley sound like tik first and another tik..after that only red keep blinking..
another thing is even after i unplugged the power, The tv keeps red blinking 3 times for 2 almost 2 munites -
I have a Lithonia Lighting 65-Watt Gray Hardwired Compact Fluorescent
I also have back when Light of America had these light bulbs available for yard lights
The issue with Light of America was the blast boards had all most certain board failure while bulbs hardly ever fail
While the Lithonia lighting fixture has all most certain bulb failure
So I have modified the Lithonia lighting fixture to accept the Light of America light bulb and see how long this will last

Buenas mi nombre es carlos me uni al foro porque estoy buscando el schematic de una sony vaio pcg-41217u otras formas de escribirlo son 1p-0117j01-a012 mbx-237 numero de placa revision 1.2 o Sony VPCSB (MBX-237), en fin me gustaria y ayudaria un monton si alguien me puede dar dichi svhematic para hacer las mediciones de una laptop de la mencionada anteriormente(Sony VAIO PCG-41217U) con el fin de repararla dejo de funcionar solo prende el led de la bateria al pulsar el boton de power el disco empiesa a hacer ruido de actividad pero los leds del frontas no reflejan acividad y no enciende la pantalla....
