dam i thought i was on to somthin i have it span round and just the power plugged in im only getting 1.5v in some places though

Nothing stands out, but I do have one other thing to check. Can you get a picture of the connection area around the white ribbon cable going into the X-main board? It runs from the control board.

I'm interested primarily on the X-main side but that ribbon yes. The X-main side could have some test points.

i might have a bit of info i have a t con board from a 50 inch its not the same but close so i plugged it in and tried it .now when i got the tv it had a fried data ribbon from the t con to the y main so i bought 2 i plugged it in and as soon as i did the t con fried the data ribbon or started too again ?

OK, leave it at 10ms/div but set it to 1V/div.

Take a picture of the waveform you see on each point.
