Samsung LN46A650A1FXZA vertical line come and go

OK First off the vertical lines are spaced about 1 1/2 " apart and when the picture changes they sometimes shadow across like blinds on a window.
First thing I trying was unplugging all connectors took the main board out and checked for anything out of the norm, Put it back together and everything worked great for 3 days.
    Then it started again.
Now it will show up and then disappear for a few seconds sometimes longer and when the picture changes it comes back.
I tried a different T-Con board, pluged it in and had sound but lost the picture. Put the old board back in and everything is back with lines but at least te picture came back.
Since then put a new main board in same result no change.
My question is do you think there is anything in the power supply that would cause this? Or should I try another T-Con board. May have just got a bad one.
    Thanks

I would say the replacement tcon is bad. Your original one is defective.

Check the fuse on your replacement tcon. Is it good?
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

        Thanks for the reply.
The replacement was under warranty and has been sent back. They didn't have any more in stock.
Just wanted to make sure it was the T-Con before I try to get another one somewhere else.
        Thanks

Thanks for posting the result, another notes for what T-CON failure mode looks like on the screen.

Samsung UE58TU7100K - no picture, vertical line
              by mrsith
              Hi.

Got UE58TU7100K with no picture - backlight comes on though. Figured out that's a perfect candidate for cut tape method.

This model has just one LVDS tape coming off main board - and two panel boards underneath the LCD screen are connected to each other via small tape. Like curved screens. I've tried to disconnect half of the screen (5he side without LVDS connector on it, obviously), no joy.

Disconnected the tape (main board side). Applied a small piece of tape, covering first ~4-5 pins. Powered the TV on - got picture. In negative, but that's...

Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN - vertical and horizontal stripes across the screen
              by kotel studios
              Hi,

Just now my Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN monitor gave up on me. On cold boots I get many vertical stripes going across the screen (see the attached picture). After it runs for 1-2 minutes those go away but there are horizontal stripes going across the whole screen no matter of the input and PCs I use. (couldn't take an picture of it since the image size goes to 20MB and the camera doesn't pick them up)

In a video about a 27" monitor with an similar issue the guy removes one resistor and supposedly the entire monitor goes back to life? For sure this fix is only temporary....

Vizio E701i-A3 fixed but now has red vertical line
              by otaku_nut
Hi all, I tried searching the site for answers but I'm a bit over my head understanding some of what might apply and what doesn't, so please be patient with me. I used Freakaftr8's fix to remove the left driver board to restore picture to a black screen with sound Vizio E701i-A3. After doing so, I now have a large red vertical stripe down the center of the screen. The fix did require getting another t-con board from online, I ordered it before I knew about the mosfit fix for the old t-con board. I have tried cleaning the cable connections to the t-con board. I swapped the cables going from...
