The TV turns on but takes 3 minutes 20 seconds to get the blue screen (repeatable time). The screen says ‘no signal'. It takes an additional 4 minutes to respond to any side panel or remote control commands. After that the TV works well, but if the power is turned off the sequence repeats. It loses all programmed channel memory and need to repeat the channel scan process.
I have replaced many of the electrolytic capacitors on the power supply module. I identified bad ones with an ESR meter. I also checked values on bulged capacitors and replaced them as well. The problem still was there after replacing about 12 capacitors on that board. I then pulled the main board and started in on those capacitors. I replaced 45 on that board but am sure there are more. I was hoping by chance I would have hit the responsible circuit with all the bad capacitors replaced so far but the problem remains. Any thoughts?
    Thanks

old X58 triple channel board... memtest86 memory speed?
    by eccerr0r
Anyone run memory speed tests with an old X58-based triple channel 1st gen or any other >2 channel board? The one I have is a Gigabyte I think.

Anyway I had four 4GB DDR3-1333 modules in the 6 memory slots and got around 11GB/sec memory speeds assuming that it went dual channel since it didn't have enough modules for triple channel. Now I stuck in two more 4GB modules, but they are DDR3-1600. I'm still getting 11GB/sec speeds according to memtest86...

Just wondering, anyone do memory speed analysis on these triple (and higher) channel memory boards? Are there any...

Reverse engineering of 18650 4-channel tester
    by spleenharvester
    Hi friends

I have reverse engineered this tester, schematic is attached and is complete except for capacitor values. These testers annoyingly have no model number but they are the ones you find on the first page of just about any website if you type in "18650 4-channel tester". There is also a 2-channel variant and a newer 8-channel variant. They are very cheap (about £15) and can measure voltage, current, internal resistance and capacity. They have a multicolour display for all these statistics. They also have terminal blocks so that if you want to use a breakout board...

After updating motherboard capacitors, what to do next (Asrock K7VT2, SOLTEK SL-75FRN2L)
    by dragon3x
Hi, I have some 32 bits computer motherboards that need repair, as they fail to
    power on.

    Here are some examples :

(N.B. "capacitors" indicated here are electrolytic capacitors located in the onboard
    switching supply area).
    (N.B. #2 : I could not find a 3300 microF aluminum-polymer with a higher voltage
    than 6.3 V.)

1 - Motherboard #1 : this is an Asrock K7VT2 (socket A) that still works well. To put it on test
    I replaced capacitors with aluminum-polymer.
    3300 microF/6.3 V. x 4 replaced by 3300 microF/6.3 V. (KYOCERA...

Panasonic TX-24A1UN CRT Sound and Input problem.
    by hugocarmo
    Hi.

I´ve been given an old CRT from Panasonic, it´s almost new, it was storaged and almost not used since bought.
It is imaculate inside, almost no dust or debris inside.
The picture is good, but I have no left sound channel, I tried all the inputs, outputs, even on headphone jack. In AV2 I hear sound from right channel but no image, on tv tuner only right sound channel, the same for AV1.
So I started to look for a service manual, I found one, and started from the beginning.
Most of the times the caps are the problem so I orderer all the caps for all boards,...

American Audio VLP1500 Distorting on one channel
    by dicky96
Hi guys I have a VLP1500 amplifier here - one channels works fine and the other channel distorts even at low volume settings

Protection and Clip LED are off

There is something wrong with the BIAS voltages around T16 and T18 (in particular) on the bad channel

I tested all diodes and transistors in this area in circuit with diode mode - both channels seem identical. Same in resistance mode across all the resistors here.

The output DC voltages on pin1 and pin8 of the 5532D dual op amp at the input of each amplifier module are the same, and the audio...
