Re: Panasonic TH 42PZ400U
No. You need to reseat that cable both ends. Also I'd put 4 screws in for a first test before full assembly. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

You can take the assembly of input boards off the frame to expose D board underneath. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Panasonic TH 42PZ400U
Did that but when I tried pushing the connector back on the D board the connector on the board came loose. It's still connected to the board but now it flops around. I still have the same result of a split screen. Did I damage the board now?Comment

Re: Panasonic TH 42PZ400U
depends how bad the damage is you may have to remove the board if needed and take some good pictures for vus to see you may of broke some of the traces off.Comment

Re: Panasonic TH 42PZ400U
Can't tell if anything is broken in these photos but it's as close as I can get. Maybe I should just buy a new one. It does look like there is a hinge type system going on here. I'm afraid to move it a lot though. I'm afraid it will break loose permanently.

Signal pins are still OK. You can use glue to secure that connector down on each end. Super glue works fine. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Carefully bend it down and use glue to secure the far ends of the connector and it should be OK.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Panasonic TH 42PZ400U
Got it back together this morning and I still get the split screen. Is there another cable not attached to the boards I pulled out to get to the D Board (D, H and DG boards were pulled). I also checked to see that all connectors were firmly in place for all of the other visible connectors. I'm at a loss. It worked for 30 minutes and I'm back to square one. Maybe this weekend I'll tear it apart and reassemble everything.Comment

Re: Panasonic TH 42PZ400U
Bought the remote for this TV. All I can get it to do is turn the TV on and off. Volume doesn't appear to be working anymore using the buttons on the TV or the remote. I've had it unplugged for about a week or so. Do I need to program this remote for this TV?Comment

Hi,
Trying to work out if this is TFT problem or TCon issue.
The TV powers up but the top half of the screen, from the right it is OK, but as you look across to the left halfway across it starts get duller and duller until it is very dark on the lefthand side, currently I trying to clean the remote as it seems to have something film wise on the pads stopping it from registering buttons pressed.
Also when changing the screen size of Windows PC display to say to a smaller pixel sizewindow, the original window displayin the top left stays/takes a few seconds to disappear?...2 Photos -
by renechhello,
I hope someone on this forum can assist me.
I have a panasonic TH-42PC77U plasma television.
the lower 1/2 of the screen has become flaky....in and out, then finally goes black and you can only see the top portion.
i have performed the reset to default settings quite a few times. Panasonic recommended..did not believe this would help...it didn't.
I have removed the back panel and looked around for something obvious...burn marks in a board, etc....nothing obvious...
I have read some posts that suggest the problem is related to the boards on the left... -
by Zelek11My Panasonic Plasma model P55VT50 has started displaying "interference" on just the left half of the screen only (left when facing the screen). Sometimes it's concentrated in about the first 30 seconds after startup, then disappears. Other times it's fine at startup and then randomly does it later on. When it flashes the interference it's very quick and doesn't stay on the screen unless it flashes repeatedly in a row.
This image is a screen shot from a video I took. This is an example of the interference at its worst. Often the interference is much smaller...10-14-2022, 04:54 PM -
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

by canadaboy25Hey guys, I was given a Panasonic plasma because the top half of the screen was black but the bottom half was still working normally. Sometimes the top half would flicker on and off. I tried reseating all the ribbons and cables thinking it was a loose connection but it made no difference. After I fooled around with it for a while it was working most of the time with only the odd flickering on the top half. There was no real correlation between my tests and it starting to work. I set it up and started using it and it was perfectly fine 98% of the time. I used it like this for a couple months with...
