    Sony KDL-65W855C after backlight replacement

Hi guys i have done many of these KDL-65W855c models aswell as 805c, 850c etc. i replaced the backlights with new after 1 strip was testing dead so just replaced the full array from TVLEDBARZ, i put all the strips in and both sides of the tv are testing 173v per side but tv still gets a brief flash and then 6 red led blink.

anyone any idea whats going on ? im assuming its not a fault with the new strips.

i should also mention i have tried swapping both the PSU and AV board from another tv with same model.

ok guys i figured it out. there was bad solder joints underneath the PSU on the connectors. i gave them a reflow and some cleaning and they are now fully functioning. i order all my backlights from a well known store in the UK and not from china, too long to ship

Six blink IS the backlight circuit though I'm sure you're aware of that...

I'd say the circuit isn't liking something about your new led strips.

will bad backlights, one of the strips will not be right ..
I have had a bad set once..
So now I aways test them for a short while to see if they are all ok

also could be a bad connector

if the tv is open try swapping some out to see

But from experience I would say a faulty strip

I will pop the tv back open and check. But i did test both the left and right strings on LEDs from the back and both where 173v each

i have checked each strip individually and as a string and from the PSU side. and they are all fine and hold a steady voltage, i also tested the psu while the tv was power on and backlights connected, even though the backlights do not light up the psu is outputting voltage to the wires and i am no longer getting a red flashing led, possibly becuase the panel is removed ?? any other ideas ? first time ive encountered this problem with these tvs

I did not have this exact TV, but yes it's BL circuit it says. It was NOT the backlights when I had it, even though I replaced them. Mine was the PSU for the driver. I would check and post the voltages coming out of it here, does BLerr pin have any voltage?

                            by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                            Assuming...

                            by proxneo
                            Dear reader

I am looking for a suitable replacement part for the headphone jack for a Sony SW55. The current one often stays stuck inbetween input and speaker mode, resulting in reduced or no speaker volume. Using the regular cleaning tricks didn't work.
The part name is 1-507-806-00 JACK 1P (J4 on PCB schematic). Not much can be found on the internet. It seems the green barrel jack part uses 3 THT pins (what I'd expect), to which a separate seemlingly joined grey piece has 6 THT pins. I am making the assumption that the joined grey and green parts are linked, but I am not sure....

Sony KD-75X7800F - has backlight but no picture
                            by JohnML1975
                            Hello

                            Started working on this TV
                            Backlight is working
                            There is no picture
The backlight changes with what I would assume is the TV boot up sequence

I disconnected the two cables between T-CON and mainboard
                            Problem remains the same

Next I will remove the speakers and the metal panel covering the buffer boards at the bottom
Then see if I can break the problem down further...

So... I have the patchy back light issue with my Visio M70, meaning some light up, others do not. I finally got around to testing the LED driver board and found that was not the issue (swapped another one in and the same issue persisted) and I am considering if i dare dive deeper into this TV and go after the LED strips.

Right away i see that they don't seem to stock them anywhere out there (E700DLB0016-002) is a part number that i see a you tube / seller guy list out. He has a nice video of how to get into my exact TV out there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AcUPiN83Tg

                            by lti
I'm looking at the transmitter from these wireless headphones because the range is too short. One of the LEDs failed many years ago (nine years ago - I found pictures that I took then) and was simply bypassed to make them work again, but it seems like the range has been degrading since then. They're near-IR LEDs (I can see them dimly lit red, so they aren't the standard 940nm), and I haven't been able to find the actual wavelength. Does anyone here happen to know what replacement LEDs I should use? Maybe I can adjust the transmitter was well while I'm in there, or there's another fault. I should...
