    Sansui HDLCD3210B Starts, loses picture

    Hi folks,
I'm hoping someone can help. Was given a TV to try to fix for a local business (who has been great to my family, the school where I work, etc). TV turns on, gives a "please wait message" on the screen, and then goes black. When hooked to a VCR, with the right input selected, it will play sound and acts like it is working. LED on the front goes from red to green when turned on and stays green even without the picture.

Here's the interesting part. I already replaced the combined ac inverter/backlight inverter board with one off ebay that claims to have been good. Expected this to solve the problem. But, no luck - exact same issue.

Any thoughts? The mainboard is part number CA0FE84211 (but printed on the board it reads CEG383A) and the inverter board is a CEG379C. These two boards are the only "boards" in the TV and seem to be used in several different makes/models of TV's.

    Thanks in advance.

    David

We need good pictures of both sides of both boards.
How long from "please wait" to black.
Do you get any picture at all from the vcr
If you have it in a darkened room and shine flashlight on the screen at different angles
can you see anything - a very dim picture on the screen.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

      Hi folks,
Here are pictures of the two boards in question. I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

I'll let you know if there is any image viewable in a dark room with a flashlight once I reassemble and test the TV again in a few minutes. Also, the "please wait" duration.

      Thanks.
