I don't know if it makes sense to post this here. Maybe if somebody has the same problem it could help them.
I got this TV set and the picture looked completely scrambled. When putting black tape on the IR receiver the picture gets better (not perfect though.
The problem was a 680uF/25V on the power supply board. It had only 2.2uF.
Replaced it, the thing works perfectly well. Nice and easy saturday job.
