    Vizio P50HDTV10A Image problem

I have a Vizio P50HDTV10A with this image displayed on the screen. Before this happened it would put a horizontal ghost image down one inch to three or four inches briefly when an image had a bright background over a darker one. Now it just has that image.

    Thanks,

    Kenneth

Would it be one of the Y buffer boards or both and is there any test to check?

        Thanks,

Moved from troubleshooting guide. This problem deserves a thread of its own.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

Should I try one at a time?

There are methods on the internt which describe how to test buffer boards

Common fault is a blown FQB46N16 FET on one of the buffers.

Ysus may be on its way out as well. I did a similar repair on the buffer and the tv came back to life but only lasted a couple hours before the same FET blew again... I replaced it again and put a heatsink on top of it, but this time the TV started showing signs of flicking picture (symptoms of a bad Ysus)
