    Samsung ln46b610a5f Display Issue

I have the Samsung ln46b610a5f. Got it from my parents. One day it randomly started showing thing red/green/orange lines vertically. It gets worse up to 5 minutes after the TV is on. The picture can be seen. IE, i can see a show or whatever is on. Sound is great. I changed out the main board, T-con board, and inverter board. None of which helped. I have not tested the power board or anything? Help? I can send pictures soon.

If switching the T-con and Main didn't fix it then you are looking at a bad panel.. sorry

That really sucks, is there any TV that has a comparable Panel for cheaper?

The pictures were just taken today. That black screen was taken switching between channels.

Bad panel. Not yet aware if anyone has fixed this fault. It seems like it would be something temperature sensitive, but could be a leaky gate driver pulling the VGH/VGL low. In which case not fixable.

Too many damn LCD panels dying!

I tried pulling the whole thing apart and pulling the panel out but that's a bigger job than I'm comfortable doing. Guess I'll just sell the parts on Ebay.

I have something similar going on with a Samsung 40 inch I've got these vertical smears along with the colors smearing vertically on the left side of the screen spanning over to the right past Center it would appear that is temperature sensitive as when the panel is cold it's much less noticeable I have tried free spray on every component inside television and no avail but one time I freeze the whole panel and the picture came back perfect it doesn't have anything to do with the drivers on the top one side of the screen it seems to be more in the middle believe it or not. I think it is some kind of contamination issues within the liquid crystal layer. lol I guess it would make good TV if you live in the freezer

I just read somewhere that a couple guys used hot guns, or hair blower? and that helped the glue reseal itself. *shrugs*, I might have a go at it with my wife's hair dryer

There is no glue. The top ribbons are fused into the panel and sometimes there is a silicone barrier for protection. Has no affect on the workings of the screen. Heat is probably not going to do the trick. Freeze spray should. But give it a shot anyway. Just be careful not to heat too much in one place you can make matters worse for good.

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
                      by Asraf Atb
                      Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                      by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      Assuming...

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?
                      by ohren
I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....
