Hi folks, I have this matsui 42 inch lcd tv, I am not sure about the model as the sticker has been damaged and is no longer readable, I have tested all the caps on the psu and they're all ok, What would be the next thing i should check which could cause this error?? Sorry I'm being a bit vague but i know nothing about the set and have no model number to search for common faults.. :-)

is there any model numbers on the psu pictures of the back of the set showing all the boards may help us reconise it. -

That's OK.
Inside the TV (remove back cover) there should be a set of stickers affixed to the panel - similar to this one (see pic).
On one of them will most probably have the model # and/or the panel id #.
If you can't find it, just post the power supply part # (stamped on the board).
If you could take a photo of both the stickers and the power supply board, that would be great.Attached FilesComment

bottom right of psu by the yellow transformer theres a small ic behind c801 capacitor is the ic damaged the board looks burnt/brown by it.Comment

Ahh great, Thank you everyone.. i would also be concerned if the board was badly burnt around the ic leg mounting holes etc looks very badly burnt whats the underside of the psu board look like under that ic?Comment

on a close up pic of the back of the pcb the burning looks like it gone a fair way through the pc board you may want to wait to see what other members advice is.Comment
