OK, do you see the 4 pin connector going to the Y-sustain from the power board? It should have 5V on it.

If you do not have any slight glow from the plasma panel, then there are three possibilities (given heatsinks on boards are getting warm):
    - Lack of Y-ramp waveforms for panel initialisation, although, some pixels should still work
    - Both Y-buffer faulty
    - Broken panel glass in some way or gas has leaked (non repairable)

      I have disconnected both the top and bottom buffers one after the other and the results are as follows;
With top disconnected: screen displays some colored horizontal lines at the top
part of the screen which almost make up some raster
and later began to reduce gradually
With bottom removed : Less such display,

Can you show us what the picture is like in each case of unplugged buffer boards?

I don't know what has gone wrong. I removed each buffers one after the other as i did before but this time , there was no display on the screen anymore as it was when i first did it. I even repeated it to be sure but nothing displayed anymore.

Did you isolate the connector going to the buffers, or not? You could have a loose connection too -- check for that.

I isolated the connectors! I also removed the screws used to connect it to the y-sus. Could that be the problem?

Do you still have -Vy and Vsc?
There is a board -- the control board -- which connects to the Y-sustain, Z-sustain and other parts... it should have a few LEDs on it, what are they doing? Lighting up, flashing, nothing? Note: this is not the board which has the video inputs on it.

I don't know but the only board that has LEDs on it is the same that has the video inputs on it and the photo is shown below. The LEDs are lighting up and can be seen inside the wire loop. The -vy and vsc voltages are still the same.

The board in question is probably below the main board. Long time since I did one but trace the flat white cables coming out of the Y-sustain and Z-sustain.

I found a board under the main board. It's shown below. is it the one you are referring to?

I think it is, there are three green LEDs and there are lighting up.

That is the control board. If the LEDs are lit up the board is probably working, unfortunately without a scope, it's hard to tell where the problem is, you would need to check various waveforms to see what is going missing on its way to the plasma screen.

I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Sony XBR-75X950G seems dead with a black screen but backlight and sound is working and no blinking red lights
                                by Audeze
I have a 2019 75" x950g, and while playing a movie, the screen suddenly went dark in a weird way, where it faded towards one corner into being fully black. Now the TV turns on, and the backlight comes on, but there is nothing displayed except black. Sound still comes through the TV speakers, and i have tried doing a hard reset using the volume - and power buttons while plugging the display back in, but it did not fix it. I can confirm that pressing buttons on my remote is still doing "something" because I'm hearing sound still, even though the screen is black.

                                Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

                                Good morning.
I have a problem with my LG Smart 43UF640V TV. It starts, the backlight comes on but nothing is displayed on the screen and there is no sound.
I thought it was a TCon problem and ran various tests. If I disconnect one or the other of the cables from the tcon to the panel then the screen is white on the side where the cable is disconnected and black on the other side. If the two cables are disconnected the screen is completely black.
In the 4 configurations I measure exactly the same voltages on the tcon card (model V15 43UHD TM120 Ver0.4) :

                                Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....
