what do you mean by a flash? did you check the voltages for the connector on the power supply when the light is still red?

Where are you from? The model number and the part numbers that I can decipher don't show up on any google search that I do.

Minnesota. I am having trouble finding boards for this tv to, I thought it was because it was pretty new.

First thing I see is that the LVDS cable at the TCON is not on correctly. Also the power supply seems to be getting it's power on voltage but isn't putting out any 12 or 5 volts.

Having trouble finding boards for a new TV is not uncommon. Not finding a single advertisement, review, or website that even mentions the set is uncommon. Could you post a picture of the label on the back?

Sorry for the confusion. I was actually referring to the label on the back cover. It might have the date of manufacture and the chasis number as well.

OK, so we're looking at an RCA LED52B45RQ. Manufacture date of 12/12?!? Did you buy this new? You may have a warranty that will take care of this.

Sounds like a nice friend. We can test the power supply to weed that out of the equation. With all of the connectors plugged into the supply and the TV plugged in but not powered on, check the voltage across the big cap. Black lead of the meter on one leg and red lead on the other. It should read around 165V. Power the set on and check again. If that part of the supply is working, it should read around 390V. If you can post clear pictures of all the connectors on the power supply, I'll try to help you attempt to force the supply on using two resistors. I need to be able to read all of the labels for each connection.
