Have a Sharp LC-26DV24U that after about 4 minutes or so and even more random than that the screen will go white.. i've seen video on replacing the Q413 transistor and the F404 part so i'm asking if one of yall think it's one over the other possibly since i dont think the mainboard is the problem because it does show proper video at first. Thanks ahead of time this forum is pretty darn amazing btw... josh

Re: Sharp LC-26DV24U normal then white screen
Check the DC voltage on the fuse when you get the picture and when the screen turn white.
The one I fixed here had white screen (no voltage feeding the T-CON board).

Re: Sharp LC-26DV24U normal then white screen
That means the load (T-CON) board stops drawing current. Check the voltage right at the SMD fuse on the T-CON board. also re-seat the cable between the main board and the T-CON.Never stop learning

Re: Sharp LC-26DV24U normal then white screen
tried to re-seat the cable did no good.. so i guess i'll have to take nearly the whole thing apart to check the tcon board.. i'm looking online to see if i can even find one and i'm having no luck either with that either i find all 3 other boards but not the tcon board..?Last edited by jdoncouse; 12-05-2013, 06:06 PM.Comment

by EazyBoneAnother TV topic!!
I got this sharp TV that when I first plugged it in it showed the sharp logo and then went to the input screen. This was about 30 seconds and then it showed white screen. Now I can't see anything but white screen. This has a separate TCON and Main.
The TCON is getting 12V and several parts are as well but the VGH line is only .5Volts which I thought is totally incorrect.
Am I on the correct assumption that the TCON is bad somehow if I'm only getting that voltage or is there something else I should check?... -
by Megan0My Sharp LC-70UD1U Screen is black and flashing, "I attached the video"
Well, I opened the back cover and as you can see in the picture, I unplugged 2 L (left) ribbon, TV turned ON, but half of screen (Right) is normal, and the other side (Left) is white. I continued to test...
Result:
I swapped the ribbons L<-->R = Blinking 2x power light, 5x timer light
Unplugged 2 R Plug 2 L = Blinking 2x power light, 5x timer light
Unplugged 2 L Plug 2 R = Blinking 2x power light, 5x timer light
Only in the first test, where I did not... -
by harpTo ask here... I have few devices with white screen problem, actualy nokia 2220 and some fuji? camera, and try to understand what is common problem to cause that issue.
Yes, both devices work everything else probably ok, I mean, I hear intro melody and keypress click sound, DTMF tone, power on off... all ok.
On desk is nokia 2220 slide, and I check all screen connectors and components arround it, measure voltage drop, but all looks ok. I suspect on slide flex cable, but it look ok and white screen is not interupt while flexing board, pushing conectors, and sliding up down. In attachment... -
by odiI'm trying to fix this TV that I got from a friend. It displays a white screen only. What is weird though is that when I first turned it on it appeared to work for a few minutes but then got the white screen and I haven't got the picture back even for a second after that initial time. If I plug in an HDMI device, the audio is played through the TV speakers, and the power button turns the TV on and off.
I've tested the caps on the power supply with an ESR meter while in circuit they seemed within spec.
Tried wiggling the LVDS while on and no change to the white screen. Have removed... -
Hi everyone.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 3, stuck on the "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen.
Found a lot of people with this issue, but with no definitive answer. Some people managed to get away accessing BIOS, going to Startup and turning off "Option Key Display". For me that only removed the interrupt normal start up message, leaving only the Lenovo logo.
Most people say hitting Enter does not work. It's true, if you wait a few seconds. But if you hit Enter right away you get the options to enter BIOS (which works), run diagnostics (goes to a... - Loading...
