Hi I recently picked up a vizio vp50 with samsung boards. I have no video and no sound when the tv turns on. It does stay on. I checked the voltages with a DMM and they were all reasonable. I inspected for bulging caps and found none. anyone have any idea what I'm up against?

Okay so I went over the boards and the only thing I found was a missing diode on the z sus board. D4012. Now I'm not sure if there is supposed to be one there but by the looks of the solder it looks like there was one there before.Attached FilesComment

Did you have any luck with the set yet? I'm working on a couple of these that both have no picture and no sound. I replaced all the bad caps in both of them. The voltages all seem fine Y an Z heat sinks get warm (but not very warm) but the long heat sink on the bottom of the set stays very cool. It appears that it's working (green light stays on).. No sound on any input select. Both the Y and Z boards make a hummm when its on.Comment

Have a free Vizio E60-E3 pickup - sound and backlights work. set turns on and stays on for a period then cycles off and back on. NO VIDEO. If I remove left side (from front of TV) of TCON cable - set has pic on right side (from front of TV) with white screen on left side. With right side TCON cable disconnected - no pic on either side.
Does this mean remove right side (from front of TV) tabs ?
Like a second opinion before possibly destroying set.... -
I am facing a strange issue, I don't have any sound over my internal MacBook speakers and also the video won't start. If I change to my head speaker or via HDMI (speaker on my external Display) the sound works over the head speaker or Display and also the video starts (ex. youtube).
All happened after the battery ran out of power overall several days when I was on vacation.
I tried to remove the battery and then reconnected the battery, and then the MacBook Pro 14 2021 won't accept any power from my power socket. Then I removed one speaker, connected again the battery... -
When I select the FM receiver, I find a radio station, the sound is heard on REC OUT(L,R), REC TAPE1(L,R),REC TAPE2(L,R) on high-ohm headphones, the sound regulation does not work.
The output reacts when I connect the record player to PRE OUT FRONT L, the sound is heard in the speaker but the sound regulation does not work. Then it does not matter what I chose on the front selector.
I replaced the capacitor C303/0.047F, nothing changes.
I'm asking for help, what should I do next?

I'm trying to repair an onkyo ht-r390 that has no sound output, despite the volume being at maximum, the rest seems to work; the video output signal (coming from an hdmi input) is present, but the audio is absent. Similar situation if I send an audio signal from any input I have no output.
The firmware reported is the following:

The DSP firmware given the question marks seems corrupt.
