Hi I have a VA320M vizio set that needs the proper fw. I bought a Mainboard for it but when I received it, It was the 42 inch model and now the colors are all negative. I went back and switched the nand or u405 from the old board to the new and al; I get is the dreaded with logo/black screen which is what it was originally. I then put the new chip back on the board and the set comes back on, but with the ugly colors. I was hoping that someone here would have access to the fw that way I could just update via usb. I looked just for the nand with the fw already on it but could find nothing.

If that does not work. I bought a programed EEProm from Miquel Garcia of ITVRepair, I think he is in Ft. Worth, Tx. He sells them on Ebay programed for $25.00 I believe it is.
I don't know what your problem is, but if your tv won't come on you might check the three LDO Regulators at U4 U5 and U8 I think it is. These have shown up as a common problem on Vizio tv's. Also one other thing that might be a problem is the soldering on the Main Video Chip on the larger green board. It is in an area marked off with a white line and the EEprom chip is located close to it. Several people have had success reflowing the solder on both of those chips.

Thanks for the reply. Im certain that as unlikely as it sounds the eeprom has failed/corupted.
I looked at the link provided and for the Itvrepair guy on ebay but couldn't find anything. does anyone have the firmware? Maybe access t fromvizio? Im a samsung tech so i can get firmwares or manuals for them but not vizio.Comment

Here is the address for the guy in Texas. Send it to Miquel Garcia and ask him if he has the chip and bin file you need. Also don't forget about reflowing the main video chip. That has seemed like the problem with the chip you are talking about losing its' programing.

I couldn't get in contact with the Itvrepair guy. I really need this firmware otherwise its gonna be me shelling out another 150.00 on this board completely out of pocket. Dont you just hate when something so simple causes so much trouble.Comment

Sorry ahead of time for the text wall. This is a strange problem and I have tried to explain it as best I can. I realise this is a hardware forum (mostly), but I am still not sure if this is even a hardware fault! I am hoping that someone more knowledgeable than me in the area of understanding installation logs, or someone that has had a similar issue in the past may have some ideas of what might be causing this.

Wondering if any of you have seen this before. I got this TV with lower half of the screen dim. Fixed the LED backlight issue - smooth
I noticed that the System update lists current firmware is V1.0.6 and is able to find on the Vizio server 2.60.23-1... it downloads fully.. but instead of restarting, it just goes back to the previous screen "NO SIGNAL - HDMI1"
I got the code and followed the update via flash drive - and it does exactly the same thing. Firmware is copied by the TV 100%, and then nothing - instead of restarting, it just goes back to the previous... -
I was given this set and do not have the original remote. It will turn on with the power button and display "oobe V1.1.12 firmware V0" but that's all it will do. It does not respond to the input select button or volume button. I have a remote from the cable company and programmed it for Vizio and it will turn the set on and off but that's it, no response from any other buttons. The white standby led comes on bright at first and then dims but stays on while the set is on. I pulled the back off and looked for anything obvious like loose connectors, bad solder, bad caps and didn't find... -
Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.
