    philips 52PFL7203, compatible mainboard?

    Hi all,
I have the above mentioned TV, with both the T-Con and the main board fried.
Founded the T-Con easily, as it is shared between several other brands of TVs.

The problem is the main board.

I have searched for some time, it seems it's the same boards for the following philips:
    7603, 7613, 7633, 32PFL7403, 32PFL7803, 52PFL7203.

    It is the : Q528.2E
I can only find the Q529.1E
    http://www.lcd-plasma-parts.co.uk/in...69&search=q528

It's the same board likewise, with the following diferences:
    -There is no mpeg chip as seen on the image, a STi7101;
    -Has 3 hdmi, mine only has 2;
    -Has the new NXP PNX5100 processor, mine has the PNX5050;

From all that i can find and read about them, the mainboard i can find is actually a upgrade, the PNX5100 has better image quality.

    My questions are:
-What is the STi7101 chip used for? Do i need it for normal antena and hdmi connectors?
-Could i put this newer mainboard on the TV and expect it to work?

I didn't even found a picture of my board trough googling, to show it to you guys. I could post a picture of it if you find it usefull.

Hope you can help. Best regards,
    Ricardo

EDIT: forgot to mention, on that site they mention that board they have is the Q528.2E, but on other site it's stated as the Q529.1E, so i'm mostly sure they are wrong, but hey...

Is there a Philips part number that begins with something like "313"?:

    http://www.shopjimmy.com/philips-313...fl7603d-10.htm

Edit: I saw "313912363411V3" at the site you provided. It looks like the board I found could be a match, but they may not ship to Portugal.

      Re: philips 52PFL7203, compatible mainboard?

      Yes there is: 3139 147 26571J#

That mainboard you just posted is like the previous i have found.
Just found one exacly like mine: http://chipart.ru/lcd_tv/lcd_tv_main...004461127.html

Only 2 HDMIs, and "that" chip that i can't find on the ones i see for sale, i wonder if that chip is necessary?

      EDIT:
So far, what i understand about the various modules of LCD monitors, as long as i use a T-Con able to drive the LCD, i can use any mainboard, it just has to be pin compatible with the T-Con.
If i use a Mainboard of a samsung monitor that uses that same T-con, i will get the LCD working, but it will be recognized as a samsung, and will be a samsung, only diferent of the exterior of it.
Probably not that straight forward, but...

Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong!

So it seems the missing chip on all those boards found trough the internet is used do decompress mpeg-4 with usb pens.
I will only use the TV with Antena, or HDMI with computer, so i will not need it.

I will buy one of these main boards, and i will post if they are a match

OK, Got the boards and assembled the TV. No go.
A red led blinks for 9 times, stops for a bit, blinks 9 times, etc.

Anyone have a clue? Am googling at the moment.

          Thanks all!

It looks like it might be a failed gamma chip, but they don't usually have that bright of colors. I'm curious what was wrong with your main board and how you repaired it. I've got a Phillips with mainboard troubles that is about impossible to source a replacement.

                Re: philips 52PFL7203, compatible mainboard?

Hi, the mainboard has a FET that turns the supply for the T-CON.
On my mainboard, since it was burned, i replaced it with a short-circuit, making the T-CON always On.

Ordered a gamma chip to replace the one on the T-CON. I hope this is it, because i won't invest more money on this.

Screen diversity code not set correct, not the gamma chip.

Looking for tools to find mainboard equivalents
                    by Jun Alithis
                    Hello!

I work in TV repair and often need to find equivalent mainboards for replacements. I was wondering if there are any programs, services, or websites that can help streamline this process?

If you're using anything like that, I'd really appreciate it if you could share your experience. Also, if you manage this task manually, I'd love to hear about your approach.

Thank you in advance for your help!

General Questions on the Relationship Between Mainboard, TCON and Panel
                    by mmartell
My goal here is to be able to use boards on hand to swap into faulty sets when the faulty board is not obvious.

I will start by asking what is the format of the output from the mainboard and is it generic in any way or does it vary by manufacturer and/or model ?

And as far as I know a tcon and panel must be a matching pair because the timing of the signals and the voltages required to drive the panel are specific to the panel itself. (That may be a blanket statement that isn't true in some cases where the panel creates its own sub-voltages on its panel boards?)...

                    Philips 32PFL9604H/12 mainboard likely
                    by satinser
As soon as plugged in at power socket TV starts up with Philips opening logo, screen then shows HDMI 4, then both picture and backlight go off but TV remains on and if any button on remote is pressed red led blinks fast. If mains plug is removed and plugged back in the same thing happens. Suspect it might be software on main board related issue. If anybody has the software for this model would be grateful. Have corrected many LG mainboards by reflowing at 200c in the oven does anybody know whether Philips mainboards are so oven friendly!

LG OLED77G1PUA - No Video / Audio after a TCON Board change and Software Update
                    by Hakuu
                    Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

Got the same exact TCON board from TVPartsToday and replaced it. But didnt transfer the EPPROM data (didnt...

                    by l0lhaxz1
                    Hi

I have a QN65QN90A which was purchased around launch I guess making it about 1.5-2 years old... had been working fine until a few days ago, simply went black and would no longer turn on (at all). No standby light and no typical PSU relay click etc. Absolutely dead.

Pulled it apart without doing much research first, suspecting the power supply as it had a faint buzz (I guess due to the forthcoming found short), investigated PSU for some time and concluded there was no fault that I could spot with the board removed.

Came to learn after a bit more research...
