    42LG3000 2 seconds to black

    Hey

i've got a 42LG3000 with the typical 2 seconds to black issue. Picture is still visible with a flashlight. I already tried to replace the inverter boards, but the issue remained the same. I then suspected the CCFL and opened it backlight up. The CCFL seem fine, but i found 2 broken ceramic cap and various others that seem quite dark and at the brink of breaking.

My Problem is now, that those caps are 15pF/6KV and i have trouble finding some for a reasonable price. I found 2 sources, but they want 3-6€ for each cap. i would need 20-26 to replace all caps that are changed in color to be safe, which would way to much to fix such a old tv.

I did find this one 22pF/6,3KV for 0,393€

My main question is now, if i can use this one instead of the 15pF/6KV. As far as i've understood, a higher Voltage should be no problem. Is a higher capacity ok as well for the ccfl caps?

    Greetings
    Marc

The general rule I've always followed is that a replacement cap should be no more than 20% higher in capacitance than the original. So, I wouldn't go higher than 18pF.
