LG42LW450U No audio and in wired headset mode

This TV has never been used with headphones but has switched itself to wired headset mode.(Message is visible in the audio set up menu).The headphone socket seems to be OK so I think its a software fault.Any ideas or comments please.

There is a service bulletin out there for this, I'll try to get it for you, long story short it is actually the headphone jack which is faulty and needs replacement. Or if you do not use the headphones you can remove the jack completely.
