I fixed a dell vostro 3400 that had a bad bios so i reflashed a working one. I have tried looking at the old bios dump for the windows key but I could not find any key. Maybe the old bios was corrupt which corrupted the section with the windows key but could someone look at the attached dump to see if the windows key is indeed gone?...Leave a comment:

I have a Vostro 3400 that turns on with spinning fans but no display then shuts off after 4 seconds so not sure if it's a corrupt bios so want to try a fresh bios before I dive deeper into a board issue. Attached is my dump from the 2 bioses.

When you said to measure resistance on vin, vout and ic ground which chip am i measuring from and the power switch is a potentiometer where you turn it to power on and increase/lower led intensity....Leave a comment:

Lights off ledc- and ledc+ 7.89v
Lights off ledw- and ledw+ 7.78v
Lights on ledc- and ledc+ 10.3v at lowest brightness and max brightness 11.37v

I know can't see the tracks with the black. It's weird cause how come only 3 of the rows of leds are dimly lit when off and not the rest....Leave a comment:

Sorry I’m mistaken, there are led’s where the orange lines are. There’s a knob that lets you adjust the light to a white/orange color as it turns on both the white and dim orange leds. But yeah I don’t know why when powered off the orange ones are still lit on 3 of the rows....Leave a comment:

LED light issue
Hi, I'm trying to fix my buddies rechargeable led work light made by olight and the model is odiance. For some reason now after a couple years of no issue, when powered off now, the led is faintly lit on 3 of the orange rows but as you can see from the first pic that's not where the leds are. The part that is faintly lit is beside the leds? Anyone know how that is possible? Is there small voltage still coming in somehow? The third pic is with the cover off....
