Hi, I am fixing a Predator 315-53 that was completely dead and now I got to the point where it turns on with keyboard lit but no display and fans only spin for 3 seconds so i'm wondering if the bios is corrupt and someone can get me a clean bios. I have attached both bios dumps.

Part identification keyboard pcb
I’m trying to fix a Corsair mechanical keyboard but could someone tell me what the circled part is as I think it may be the issue. There is 2 legs with a small square seethrough piece at the top that is separated inside almost like a fuse but it’s labeled d140 which I assume is some type of diode?. I tried searching but couldn’t find any part that looks like this....

I fixed a dell vostro 3400 that had a bad bios so i reflashed a working one. I have tried looking at the old bios dump for the windows key but I could not find any key. Maybe the old bios was corrupt which corrupted the section with the windows key but could someone look at the attached dump to see if the windows key is indeed gone?...Leave a comment:

I have a Vostro 3400 that turns on with spinning fans but no display then shuts off after 4 seconds so not sure if it's a corrupt bios so want to try a fresh bios before I dive deeper into a board issue. Attached is my dump from the 2 bioses.

When you said to measure resistance on vin, vout and ic ground which chip am i measuring from and the power switch is a potentiometer where you turn it to power on and increase/lower led intensity....Leave a comment:
