    Vizio Va370M IR sensor problems

I everyone, I'm new here so I will apologize in advance for any mistakes I make in proper etiquette. I have a Vizio Va370m that I picked up for cheap. The man told me there were problems with the picture after warm up but after 10 hours of running I could not simulate it.
The only problem I have is the ir sensor won't pick up the remote. I checked the remote on another vizio and it works fine. I checked for any noticeable bad caps & didn't see any. I went ahead and ordered a new ir sensor board thinking that was the problem. Installed it today.... and nothing. So I started checking voltages(I know, should have done that first), there is a 13 & 12 pin connector on the power supply. Everything seems close. The 24's are 24.1, the 12's are 11.8-9, and the 5.0 is 4.7. The voltage at the ir sensor is 3.3.
    Thanks, DSneller

Re: Vizio Va370M IR sensor problems

One more thing, are 3 pins on the ir sensor. 1 is ground and the other 2 read 3.3v, only 1 of them drop to 2.9 when I push a button on the remote. Thanks, Dsneller

AcuRite 5 in 1 temperature sensor replacement repair
      by CapLeaker
      Got a new victim:

AcuRite 5 in 1 Iris outdoor weather station not updating the temperature / humidity anymore. The original sensor is a SHT21. Also there are identical other sensor manufacturers. I chose the HTU21D to replace the original SHT21. Both have identical specs. I've had two failure modes with these sensors.
A: outside temp stuck at -40? It's cold here at times in Canada, but not that cold!
B: stuck at some temperature and maybe updating once in 12 hrs or so.

Easy solution is to go to AcuRite website and purchase the sensor. Right?...

      Hisense 65R6107 remote sensor

Does anyone know if there is a repair for the remote sensors for these televisions? It only seems to work when it wants to. I tried a different remote and also tried factory resetting the TV. I find if i go close to the sensor that it'll work but outside 2 feet it wont.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
      by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

      Assuming...

Vizio M557-G0 1/2 panel VGHD LC1 (and maybe XON VSSQ LC2) Problems
      by howardc64
      Failure Symptom

No Display. Just random blocks of grouped vertical red lines.
Disconnect right 1/2 panel (rear view), left 1/2 displays properly

      Masking T-Con Signal Diagnostic

Reduced masking to 5 signals on right 1/2 panel and get perfect picture

      Pins are

      1 GND
      2 VGHD
      3 XON
      4 VSSQ
      5 LC2
      6 LC1

VGHD and LC1 masking is absolutely necessary to get working panel. Didn't unmask 3-5 individually.

      Pictures and Schematic

      XON, LC2, LC1 are on AUO s302-21 32pin QFN...

Google Pixel 5 - Proximity Sensor Issues - Reflow/Replacement procedure tipps wanted
      by groomit
      Hi,
I just replaced the battery on a Google Pixel 5.
After that the proximity sensor isn't functioning properly any more. It is constantly activated. So when playing a voice message on Whatsapp, the Screen instantly turns off.
Checking with a sensor app I can verify weird behavior of the sensor. It is triggered when nothing is near and sometimes works correctly when squeezing the phone next to the sensor hole.
The rubber seal is on again (as mentioned in various suggestions in other forums).

This smells like a cold or broken solder joint. So I'd like to reflow...
