Re: Bush LCD27TV006HD 2 secs to black

The spare inverter I am using to test the lamps has 8 (16 lamps) outputs whereas the 27" only has 7 (14 lamps) so there is a spare connection on the inverter, the tv is doing the 2 secs to black, I guess protection cct due to 2 lamps being absent. I have an energy saver cfl lamp I intend to hook up but I think the arrangement is a little different to the one in Budm's 'Inverter tester using old CFL' thread, his cfl lamp is connected directly to the board, blue and black wires, whereas my arrangement means I'd need 2 test lamps, one each for where his 2 wires go and the 2 gnd's to the 2 pin connecter at the bottom of my inverter board. I hope that is correct, I'm sure it is.

Hooked up 2 11w energy saver lamps to the empty connector but still '2 secs to black'.

May have to get 1 or 2 more to replace 1 or 2 at a time until it stays on to find a faulty lamp which its looking like thats what the fault might be.

        OK so update.

It appears that both the 3rd and 4th lamps are out.

So I now know whats at fault its just sourcing a couple of replacement lamps, I have a few from 32" etc.. but unfortunately none for a 27".

You could probably use 26" bulbs.

Erm, sadly don't have any of those either.

Shall have to see how much they are where I can source them from.

Even smashed 26"/27" sets will have a few good bulbs.

Yeah, I may have to hold onto this one until a cheapo 26/27" comes along.

Cheers Tom I appreciate all your help!

Hi guys, I’m back here my friend give me her tv, that doesn’t turn on and no standby red led. When u plug in the cord the red led of one two second is on, then turn off. If you push the power button or the remote the red led blinks but nothing happen. I give u some photo with voltage, don’t look the fuse….because I blow it for mistake nd I dint have the right replace so I just put it for test the tv. The standby voltage should be 11,88 volt on the diode, but I have 13 volts. I put in the photo the different volts I test and there are someone negative…I don’t know if it s normal. On...

HANNSG Hi221 -- 2 secs to black feat. CCFL flicker & "burn" marks on power board
                  by ttmi100x
                  Greetings everyone,

I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...

The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

                  Upon closer inspection...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
                  by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

LED TV Samsung The Frame 55 inch QE55LS03RAU Standby Light only
                  by ChristianBr01
                  Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...

LG 47LB5DF blown power supply board
                  by cmlewis89
                  Hi folks,

I'm new to this forum. So my trusty 17-year-old LG 47" LCD recently died. As I was booting it up, I heard a hum followed by a loud bang, sounds of pieces flying around, and loss of power to the unit. Inspecting the PSU, I saw two obvious problems: a blown thermistor (bang + flung pieces) and a visibly bulging main cap. Inspecting as many components as I could with my Fluke MM, I diagnosed that the following components on the "hot side" of the board were also bad: one of the 2 main MOSFETs, main 8A fuse, small cap (25V 47uF) connected to main caps, and a blown...
