    Cello TP3730DVB Screen/Picture Fault

    Hi

Got one of these and I first thought it was LVDS/T-Con or screen tabs, I have replaced the tcon and lvds with a known worker...its not that, I have pulled the front screen sheild and played about with the tabs and does not make any difference whatsoever...not even a flicker

The main is one of those nasty boards that seem to eat eeproms for breakfast and the psu is a megmeet MLT range. (Although crap the caps under the shield look ok)

Does this look like a main or has the screen gone bad

    Cheers in advance

I'm thinking it looks like a corrupted EEPROM or main board

Screen's fine. Not t-con. Possibly main board in some way -- probably wrong format, possibly wrong t-con in set installed (or main board set incorrectly.) Corrupt eeprom is possible.

Press SOURCE then 2580 and you may be able to access service menu. Set should be on. Then turn TI MODE off.

Its not letting me get into S/Menu, it looks like it is trying too, but then the box that pops up instantly switches off again

EEPROM may be very corrupted due to bad software design.

            Hi

The Eeprom/Flash Chip in this is a 25x80VSIG, I take it you cant put a blank in, if not could anyone tell me if they have had success using a 32inch BIN file, I have a Technika 32 that has the same board in, the only problem is that going into the service menu it only gives options for 32inch screens..will this effect it, or would you just lift the chip and put it into the 37 main

            Thanks in advance

It will not matter if the screen is the same on the Technica but 32"

              e.g. CHIMEI V320B1-L01 rev A1 in Technica
and CHIMEI V370B1-L01 rev A1 in Cello

and also 720p or 1080p for both.

Just picked up a Cello 3730DVB cheap, with a very similar screen fault to yours - although not as readable, but it seems to be trying to get into the menu when you press the button

Now got a replacement main board on the way... if it fixes the issue happy to post a dump of the SPI flash if you can use it.

I have ordered a main from Ebay too so I will probably need the dump file anyway :o)

But thank you so much for the offer, I am sure Tom/An Other might want the dump for their database as the 37inch is hard to come by

                    Re: Cello TP3730DVB Screen/Picture Fault

Quick update... Board arrived today and just finished fitting, now works perfectly (see attached pictures before and after with my similar fault as a reference to others). So signup I wish you luck with mainboard as it should resolve your problems too!

When I get time this weekend I'll dump and clone the 25x80VSIG SPI Flash between boards.
Hopefully if these boards are corrupting flashes at least I'll (and other people) will have a backup for a quick cheap fix!
