Sounds like a Y-buffer issue. Did the bar go from top to bottom or left to right? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: NEC 42" problem plasmasync 42mp1
Yes, I turned the nec on and a red bar went across the screen, I then heard a pop noise. The set will turn on, the fans will spin up with a green indicator light then the fans spin down and the light turns red. With no picture on screen.I have salvaged and fixed 18 TVs (1 DLP), 22 LCD monitors, 8 stereos, network stuff, and more laptops and computers than i can count.

Re: NEC 42" problem plasmasync 42mp1
The symptoms don't match up. It's pretty much impossible to have a left to right horizontal bar; due to how the pixels are arranged. There's a small chance it's the main board, but it's more likely a sustain board and buffer failure, which would lead to top to bottom vertical bar(s).Please do not PM me with questions! Re: NEC 42" problem plasmasync 42mp1
You really need to mention all of the symptoms but it still doesn't make sense. Pixels are arranged "RGB", left to right. You can get all "R" stuck on in one vertical bar, more than possible. You can't really have all "R" in a horizontal bar stuck unless the main board is at fault (you might get all RGB, i.e. white, but not just red), but this doesn't really correlate with the "pop" you heard. So I don't know what to say. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by perzyk23Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise.... -
by SDNarciaHello, I have a Dell 15R-5521, with the problem that the Ctrl, Alt, Shitf and Num Lock keys do not work, I tested the keyboard with a keyboard tester and it is functional, I also got another new keyboard and the computer has the same problem with the same keys. Check continuity between the ZIF connector from the keyboard to the KBC and all pins are correct. I cleaned the ZIF connector and the KBC and I still have the same problem. I reinstalled windows just in case, and it didn't work. I updated the BIOS to the latest version A16 and there were no changes.

by funyyHey there,
So I got a problem with my LG OLED TV (OLED55B8PLA).
the problem is that the tv won‘t power on some times, the led stays red and won‘t even blink, just solid red when I try to turn it on. USB devices connected won‘t light up. 1/4 of the screen (left side) shows some green „clouds“ that are getting brighter everytime I turn the tv on and after some tries the tv finally turns on. Sometimes it takes 10 tries and some times 100 or even more tries.
When the tv is on, everything works fine, hdmi outputs, usb inputs, wifi, bluetooth, etc is working... -

I have a problem with this MOTU audio card, a traveler MK3, the connection to the computer is via firewire, the card is recognized by the computer (both mac and win) but I have no audio output, on the front there are a series of LEDs including the clock (44.1, 48, etc.) and that LED at the time of connection usually remains fixed telling me the clock frequency set on the computer, now at every start the LED in question remains flashing in most cases, sometimes it becomes fixed, other times it disappears, without any sign of operation, I exclude problems with the firewire chip,...-
