Waking up an old thread here.. I had a repeat failure of the 1N5383. Looking at the datasheet for the TN264, the reference design is an RCD snubber. The zener lowers the part count and quiescent current, so perhaps that's why it was favored from a design perspective. The Delta board even has solder pads for the passive filter! I used the following:

        R7917 and R7918: 200kOhm 1/8 watt
        C7913: 2200pF 1kV Vishay Series F
D7907: delete, although you could probably leave it in as a fail-safe.

Maximum steady-state DC bias across the resistors (TV on) is about 80V steady state, so they're at about 25% of their rated power dissipation. So far so good!

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...

Harman Kardon AVR 171S - standby led lights up, does not turn on
          by madsox
          Greetings!

Thank you in advance for your understanding, I am writing to you through a translator.

A Harman Kardon AVR171S amplifier was given.

The history of the machine is as follows:
It was faulty when I bought it, I want to fix it.
I replaced the HDMI switch and one of the DAC ICs in it.
After that it worked without a problem.

I watched a movie using the amplifier, and at the end the amplifier got really hot.
The cooling was faulty, I will fix this later.
I switched it to standby mode, waited for...

on the above tv i have download the service manual of power supply bn44-00339b from electrotanya
when i remove the plug cn802 from mainboard i measure in pin 1,3,5,17 12.5 volt
on pin 16 5.2 volt and on the pins
          11, 13, 14 4 volt maby i have problem here i think must be 5 volt right ?
and on the plug cni801 i can measure on the pins 10 ...14 24 volt and the backlight is on normal
          but if i connect...

Sharp LC-C4655U Flashing OPC and Power lights.
          by berrmich
I have the above TV. Black screen. Power blinks 2 times. OPC blinks once. Plug in with channeldown/volup. Powers up with solid green power but no light. I removed, cleaned and tightened the screwed on the inverters. I tested plug coming from the power supply to the inverter board when unplugged. INV12V shows 7.4 V DC. INV60V shows 0.1 or something like that. After plugging in the cable I don't get meaningful voltage from either one. (I measured after booting the TV with channeldown/volup.)

Is this a bad power supply? Or am I measuring something wrong.
