    morning..what would cause this? see pic thanks

    LG....32LC7DC

    comes on buttons will not change the picture
    will shut down on its own in 25 seconds then blinks then comes back on by itself....then you must unplug it to get it off...seems to have different pattern
    everytime...screen seams to go white slowly on its own


    t-con board?

    Defective panel, tab bonds or T-con. I'm thinking defective panel myself.

      opened it up found two bad caps on ps board..changing them now...

        I'd be surprised if they caused that, though I have seen graphical glitches caused by bad caps, usually it resolves itself after warming up though.

          ok that got it up...looks good..but only working by remote...if you use the buttons on the side it says key lock...did go into menu turned off key lock ...but still says key lock when you use the side buttons...any factory reset?

            So it was bad caps? Interesting...

            Hold MENU on TV and MENU on remote for 10 seconds, service menu should appear, then select reset option.

                  I has an Astar tv that would have lines all over when powered up. After trying
                  several times it would come up and run fine. It was bad caps.

                    I have seen full screens of lines but not a bar width be bad caps...

                        Can you find a label that has the chassis number on -could be LA73E or something similar with 5 digits

                            Don't think that works for these LGs.
                            Maybe only way is through RS232.
