        meter read is 240v mate so looks good there

          could it just be crappy caps ? i typed in number of my power board to ebay and there all in the US but there is also a repair kit with the caps that i have replaced. link below >

            Sorry - got hassled and had to go out. I meant to test the BIG CAP
            So Meter on 600vDC etc...... Should be 300v+ DC DC
            Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

              It's not the caps. BUT you must use good quality ones or it'll come back in 3 months time with the same fault. If you don't care about it ending up in landfill again, use crappy caps, but I actually like the things I fix to last...

                totally agree with tom here been there done that tv came back to me same fault replaced with all Panasonic never saw it again lesson learnt. as selldoor says test the large cap voltage report readings.

                  ok will try that tomorrow guys and yeah think al start goin with the better caps.. can i get the panasonic caps from ebay ? i have a local RS Components up here ive ordered panasonic caps from before but there rather expensive.. will dig the tv back out again tomorrow and test the large cap. sorry it took me so long to get back to you guys i was out helping a friend move so just in. thankss

                    I'd get them from RS. I'm not sure what rather expensive is for you but generally I end up putting less than £10 of caps into a TV. I typically get them from Farnell but the prices are about the same as RS.

                      i am only using rs as can go to the trade counter to collect so no minimum order costs farnell tom i tried them had to do a £20.00 minimum order seems a bit overpriced as only wanted about £8.00 for all the caps i needed have you got lower minimum order costs etc?

                        £5 if you collect; and I get free delivery/no minimum order when I order from my work place . I can order a £0.005 resistor and they will deliver it first class next day.
