    have you checked the solder on the bottom of the board it sounds like it is arcing(cap charging of discharging.

      Look to see what was done to the board by the previous owner, you may see poor soldering works, burnt parts, etc.

        ok finally got the cap.... it is installed..... reads about 78

        plugged in, turned on....and nothing.....

        fuse is blown.... no continuity....i removed it from the wafer and need to know if i should just jumper it?

        really p's me off that they do this. a standard fuse is so much more practical, but i guess they gotta sell tv's
