Okay as you can see from the photos this one has some real non-sense making it extremely hard to play WOW and mine sweeper or anything at all. The viewing angle vertically is about 5 degrees, it's dim and this pattern is pervasive across the whole screen. The ESR on the caps checked out. I've not tested anything else. Any ideas?

I'd say it's most likely the t-con. But if it's a new LED, the t-con will be integrated onto the panel. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

I imagine it would be possible to pull apart this extra 24" ccfl panel i have sitting here and use it's LCD with the LED's backlighting? they are both 30 pin connectors, i haven't looked at the datasheets yet.. what do you think?Comment

Worth a shot. For a computer monitor you gain very little from LED backlighting though. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

I wouldn't know, sorry... I'd be surprised if the panels were compatible and changing the backlight may be impossible. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Lines and noise on entire Syncmaster S24B300EL LED. T-con, Panel or...
Anybody? It's getting 5 volts from the logic board and the fuse is passing current. Theres a voltage regulator on the t-con outputting 3.3 and some IC's i haven't researched (very detailed description, i know)
Has anyone seen/managed to rectify an issue similar to this, if so... what was the nature of the problem? I plugged the logic board into a different panel and the picture was fine so it's definitely t-con/panel related, i just wonder if its a total wash or not.

by oldmanhouseHi folks, I have an issue with my 7 year old Panasonic TX-L50B6B that has appeared within the last few days.
The symptoms are:
- A high pitched "buzzing" / "whining" noise coming from the TV when it is turned on. There is no noise during standby, and the noise persists with all AV connections removed.
- There are noticable horizontal lines in the picture. Upon closer inspection it looks like every few rows of pixels are dead/black.
Attached is a close-up of the picture in "test mode", to demonstrate the rows of black lines.

by advantThis thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.
I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match... -
by tony359Hi all,
I am working on a sound processor, it tends to overheat so I fitted a fan inside. The fan is connected to the +15V of the PSU via a DC-DC converter based on the LM2596 to reduce the voltage to around 10.5V.
Unfortunately the analogue circuitry is picking up the noise from the fan in two ways:
1. The fan is close to the analogue section, the motor itself gets into the outputs so I'll have to move it somewhere else
2. Even with the fan running outside of the case, there is still some noise which is clearly going back to the processor via power line....2 Photos -
by Stanley1843Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesnβt display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

by MegaZACSurprisingly enough, this receiver doesn't have the DSP chip issue. The HDMI board does not get hot, and sound over HDMI works fine.
Regardless of the input, the right channel has noise that is clearly noticeable even on average volume level. The only cases when there's no noise is when VCR input is selected (some tracks on the board are damaged, maybe that's why), or if HDMI input is selected but nothing plugged into it. In all other cases, even when no input is connected I still have the noise.
There's some logic behind it. As soon as I select an input I get only left...-
