Re: Replaced T-con board and now getting vertical lines
Yeah, you're most likely not going to find a replacement panel at a practical price these days. I got mine on eBay about two or three years ago, and it was for a smaller TV (26").Leave a comment:

Re: Replaced T-con board and now getting vertical lines
I'm going to say that you have a bad panel. I've worked on several TVs that showed vertical lines that would gradually fill the screen. I found a cheap replacement panel for one of those TVs, and it's worked fine for about two years.Last edited by capkid; 06-15-2013, 01:55 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: Replaced T-con board and now getting vertical lines
This is purely unscientific, but Sony LCD TVs are notorious for panel and main board issues. If you've tried a known working main board, you probably have a bad panel. Do the vertical lines on the screen in your pic show up like that when it's first turned on, or do they gradually appear?Last edited by capkid; 06-15-2013, 10:20 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: Replaced T-con board and now getting vertical lines
If you tried a good mainboard & Tcon then it may be the panel
their may be a fuse on the Tconn did you checkLast edited by 1supertech; 06-15-2013, 10:04 AM.Leave a comment:

Even thou it may look like it's bulged in the picture and it's not
capacitors don't have to bulge to be bad I test all my caps to find a problemLeave a comment:

Re: Replaced T-con board and now getting vertical lines
You would need a ESR meter that is capable of testing on board or take them out to test.Leave a comment:

by Stanley1843Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

by Daren87Hello everyone,
I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the... -
by FalkiHello there, ive recently found an older 55inch Samsung SmartTV.
Sadly it has vertical lines at the left and one line in the middle-right.
I have already tested out the connections and have looked at the soldered ribbons of the LCD panel to see if some contacts got loose by pushing them a bit but with no success.
I have factory resetted the TV as well but also with no luck.
I am afraid that it is indeed a LCD Panel issue but there are NO scratches or any impact-marks..
A similar issue has been posted as well but also with no actual response ...6 Photos -
by gpo23Hello,
i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :
With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :
I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)
Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?
Thank you for your help

by x_orange90_xJust bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...
