Vizio P50hdtv10a shuts off on intial power up, works fine after that.

Got a nice Vizio p50hdtv10a, tv works great, the only issue is when you first plug the unit into the wall it will power up then automatically shut off. Once you turn it back on it works fine and does not turn off again by itself until you unplug/reinstall plug to wall. Power supply tested good everywhere. I also have a Phillips 50 plasma that does this exact same thing, its very odd, they both work fine otherwise.

No one has ever had this issue?

Have they done that in the past? I think I have had plasmas do that but never wrote it off as an issue.

Well they have done this since I picked them up, vizio had a bad y board, phillips had a loose ribbon cable. I threw my money at the vizio and replaced the power supply but that did not fix the issue. After it shuts off I get 10 blinks on the standby light on vizio and 6 blinks on the phillips. It does not bother me, but whoever I sell these to will think its a issue im sure.

Oh so these are throwing error codes upon plug in, or that was the initial problem?

Some TVs I do believe will "power on" while a light is flashing as a boot check/board check then remain in standby.

I also thought it was error codes, but that is the only issue with the tv's is the power off upon intial plug in. If I leave them plugged in I dont get the "flashing light code" anymore.
