    Vizio SV320XVT Possible Inverter Problem.

I Have a problem with this TV .When I turn it on the vizio emblem goes from orange to white and the vizio logo comes on the screen normally then after the logo disappears the back lights shut off and the emblem stays white . I can see the picture when I shine a flashlight on it and it has sound. So I am thinking it is a backlight inverter problem. What do you guys think?

It does sound like "two seconds to black", as the TV otherwise functions normally. Do you have a DMM and camera to take pictures with?

Well I have both. I do get it to work sometimes and once it's on it stays on . I don't want to open it up tonight. Right now I have it right next to my air conditioner. Could Cold temperatures effect anything?

Yes, temperature makes a difference sometimes.

If once its on it stays on i would think that when warmed up it stays on.

So check the caps on the psu, even if they look good they may be bad.

When caps warm up they go lower in esr. Well, thets what i have learnt on here anyway
Do NOT touch heatsinks when testing for voltages as they may be LIVE!
