    Insignia NS-L26Q-10A Won't turn on

This is my first post so I hope I don't screw up too much. I had a couple of electronics classes in high school 13 years ago so I am pretty much a noob so forgive my noobness.

OK, I came home one day to turn on the tv pushed the power button and walked off. when i came back it wasn't on thinking i missed the button i pushed it again. The light flashed blue i think and then went back to solid red. i pushed the button again and it just kept flashing red(I said think because i don't remember if red flashed first or blue). after a few min. i pulled the power to "reset" the tv. Now i get nothing when i push the button. I do have the red LED still on the front and the red glow from the optical jack on the main board.

I checked the power supply first and i am not getting the 24v here is what i am getting from left to right in the pictures

CN902 (meter is set on 20v DC)
    Light Gray 5.02
    Dark Gray 5.02
    Purple 3.35
    Empty
    Black 2.26
    Blue Ground (good)
    Green Ground (good)
    Yellow Ground (good)
Orange started at .36 and over 2 min slowly fell to .03
Red started at .36 and over 2 min slowly fell to .03
    Brown 3.29
Black 0v when i switch to the continuity test is say 128

CN903 (meter is set on 20v DC)
    Red 3.29
Brown 0v when i switch to the continuity test is say 128
    Black .03v
    White Ground (good)
    Light Gray Ground (good)
    Purple Ground (good)
    Blue Ground (good)
    Green Ground (good)
    Yellow 2.27
    Orange 2.27
    Red 2.27
    Brown 2.27
    Black 2.27

I didn't see any bulging caps no noises no smells no burn or hot looking spots. From this point I have no idea what direction to go in now.

No voltage changes when i push the power button.

Number on the board is 715G2907-1-3

Thanks for the help guy let me know if you need more/better pics or more information.

OK, the PS_ON (POWER SUPPLY ON, it turns on the 12v (sound) and the 24V (for backlights inverter) power supply section) control signal, ON/OFF (backlights ON/OFF) they are generated by the main board, so your main board is sending out the signals OK but the 12V/24V are not working.
Can you post a good and focused straight shot of the power supply board of both sides so I can trace out the connections on the board?

Re: Insignia NS-L26Q-10A Won't turn on

Here are 2 more pictures I am going to sit down and read that pdf right now.

Also in your post is says that 12v is for the speakers and 24 for the back light. I had neither 12 or 24 volt. but do I only get 12 or 24 once the TV receives the power up signal from the main board? Unless I am reading my meter wrong I have it set at 20DC getting 2.26

Also Just for kicks i removed the mainboard to look underneath and saw this. I was pretty careful so i am pretty sure is must of been like that from the factory but was wondering if it is just a protective coating or if it is some thing to worry about.

      THANKS!!!!

Re: Insignia NS-L26Q-10A Won't turn on

When you turn the TV on the main board will send the signal to turn on the 12v/24v POWER SUPPLY. if you are only getting 2.26VDC,that is wrong.
Please carefully check the DC voltage on that large big cap (450vdc) in the primary side when you turn on the TV, check it right at the two legs of the cap, it should be around 390~400VDC, you will be working in the primary side so do not touch ANYTHING with your hands!

I plug it in and get 350v. when i hit the power button it doesn't flash to indicate that it is turning on / warming up just keep the solid standby light on.
