Re: olevia lcd tv has no sound until the tv warms up
Inspect the power supply board first to see if it has any caps with bulging tops, bad caps can look normal too, so start with that first.
Next thing we will need are good clear pictures that show how all the boards are connected together, and then pictures of each board. Use GO ADVANCED to upload the pictures.Never stop learning

Re: olevia lcd tv has no sound until the tv warms up
Well, at least now you found the cause of the problem. I would replace the caps as a complete set, minus the large DC filter cap in the primary side. You can use PANASONIC FM/FR/FC series from Digikey.Never stop learning

Re: olevia lcd tv has no sound until the tv warms up
I can only say you are not lookin hard enough.
Not sure how it goes over there but if you get a tv round here from more than 10-20 miles away you have to scan for channels again. This is because different parts of the country broadcast on different frequencies.
I have even had to scan again after moving less than 3 miles, so look for that scan, because it will be there.Do NOT touch heatsinks when testing for voltages as they may be LIVE!Comment

by LEECH666Good day ladies and gentleman!
I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.
This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).
I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but... -
by acedogblastHello I have a Marantz SR5012 7.1 AV receiver that is producing speaker pop and other sound issues. These sounds are coming out of all connected speakers regardless if they are configured to be used. The rca preouts are clean from these defects so I am assuming the problem has to be with the amplifier.
These sound issues are random and unpredictable. There are times where the unit can go 10 minutes without any problems then suddenly the problems come back. It doesn't seem to matter if there is sound being played or not.
I have disassembled the unit and was able to take out the...-

by hopengHi, does anyone know what could be the reason for 'popping' sound during windows start (while window icon showing)? I just replaced a broken motherboard and the sound start happening.
Windows starts ok. No noise afterword. But the start up popping sound is scary to me. Not sure if it's safe to use my PC. I've attached the video of the internal of the PC during start up and the sound. thanks.... -
Hello to the forum.
My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.
So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.
To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.
So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...-
